Iris Sparrow (@iris.sparrow) will be your photographer for this wet and wild shoot at one of our favorite Bay Area spots, Inspiration Studios in Redwood City!

We’ll be shooting on a stainless steel 45mm pole and making a big ol mess! We’ll be using a black tarp for the “backdrop”, walls, and floor of this shoot. Your lighting will be sparkly, dramatic white light to really highlight the glossy, slick, wet paint.

What to wear/bring: Gallons of Blick brand non-toxic tempera paint will be provided for your use - smearing over your body, rolling around in, and pouring. Feel free to bring any other body paint you would like to personally use. Click here for more about Blick Tempera Paint! This paint is certified nontoxic, USA made, and contains no latex, dairy, casein, soy, egg, gluten, peanuts, or tree nuts. It cleans up with soap and water, but it may stain skin temporarily and polewear permanently - so plan accordingly!

You will likely be able to do a few pole moves, if we’re careful with application, and some floorwork, so plan a variety of movement that will work even if you’re slippery. We’ll be available to help pour and pose you, too! Here’s the sort of thing we have in mind:

At this shoot, we're offering 25 minute appointments. You get an online proof gallery to choose your 15 favorites. About two weeks after the shoot, you’ll receive the link to that gallery. 30 days after you send us your selections, the fully edited, high resolution digital images will arrive in your inbox via Google Drive.

We try to make the process as effortless as possible from your end. If it’s less stressful for you, we can even choose your images! Just let us know at the shoot.
